兒童近視比例攀升！ 醫囑：高度近視恐導致多種眼球病變

都市化、數位化影響加速兒童近視度數增長，台灣兒童近視的比例在東亞國家中名列前茅。高度近視恐導致早發性白內障、視網膜剝離、近視性黃斑部病變和青光眼等威脅。
在一份長達7年的研究，研究對象範圍涵蓋8至17歲的兒童，結果指出，在研究的前6年配戴近視控制專用日拋隱形眼鏡的兒童，近視惡化程度平均降低了約50%，且年紀較大的兒童配戴近視控制專用日拋隱形眼鏡，也可以降低一半的近視程度。最新研究結果更指出，配戴近視控制專用日拋隱形眼鏡的近視控制效果，在配戴的週期結束後仍持續存在[vi] 。
吳昱愷表示：「過去2年，自己的孩子也一直配戴近視控制專用日拋隱形眼鏡，他們的近視程度明顯達到減緩，且配戴上比角膜塑型片更軟也更舒適，因此更容易適應。」他也建議，孩子是否能持續進行治療為矯正關鍵，因此家長需選擇孩子最能夠適應的方式來進行近視矯正，且定期回診檢查視力，才能長久且持續地控制近視，避免惡化。
